The Main Room is the room The Indie Rock Disco Radio plays out most, its the room that’s on when we’re not in our specialist side rooms, which is most of the day. It plays the best Indie and Rock music ever made, with tracks from the 60’s to today’s best new Indie & Rock music. Mostly uptempo songs get played in the Main Room as its a disco and the more relaxed side of rock has it’s own room. It’s the room where the rock don’t stop and the guitar is the star. The Main Room is on Monday – Friday 4am-2pm & 3pm-7pm, Weekends 6am-2pm & 4pm-5pm. Sun 10pm – Midnight
The Chill Out Room plays the more relaxed side of Indie and Rock. This is the room where the slower songs and ballads hang out as well as some most excellent demo’s and fantastic acoustic versions of Indie and Rock Anthems. The rock hasn’t stopped, its just having a lie down! It’s the room where you can go to relax overnight and after the epic Party Room. The Chill Out Room is on Monday – Friday at Midnight till 4 and Saturday and Sunday’s at 2-6am
The Ultimate 90’s room plays the best Indie and Rock music released in the 1990’s. It was the decade that gave us baggy jeans, long sleeve tops, the words Britpop and grunge and where every other band seemed to come from Manchester. They say if you did the 90’s properly, you can’t remember it, so we’ll refresh your maybe hazy memory with 3 hours of 90’s bangers every night
The Old Skool Rock room plays only the finest rock music made between the 1960’s and the early 90’s, basically if its over 30 years old, it’s in. We’ve decided that any track over 30 years old will be classed as Old Skool, we can make those important decisions as WE control the rock. The Beatles, The Stones and loads of bands that don’t have The in their title have rocked us over the years in one form or other, The Old Skool Rock Room plays the lot.
The Cover Versions room plays the best Indie and Rock cover versions, we hoped that was obvious. What may not be so obvious is why we are doing this and the simple truth is there are a lot of fine covers out there, some of them you will know, some of them you may not, we didn’t know some of the tracks we play in here existed so chances are they’ll be one or two that surprise you too, not the group, although there are a few U2 covers! Go on a voyage of cover discovery in the cover versions room.
The Party room is the best, and probably only, Indie, Rock and Dance party on the radio. Its a mix of Indie Bangers like Mr Brightside, Rock Classics like Back in Black and dance floor fillers from the likes of The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Faithless along with some of the finest remixes of Indie & Rock anthems, think it’ll sound weird, it doesn’t, it just works! 4 hours of non stop party tunes on the radio, defiantly worth staying in for.
The 2pm takeover is an non stop hour of some of The Indie Rock Disco’s favorite acts.
